CAMS Interpreter

A browser-based analytical engine for the Complex Adaptive Model of Societies. Load any of 38 national datasets — spanning contemporary states, historical civilisations, and key time periods — or enter values manually across CAMS's eight institutional pillars (Helm, Shield, Lore, Archive, Hands, Craft, Flow, Stewards).

The tool computes the full CAMS 3.0 operator suite in real time: node vitality, affect, abstraction drift, bond strength, and the Sisu activation signature. Results are presented across four analytical panels — reconstruction profile, spectral analysis, operator table, and bond network — with radar, bar, and coupling visualisations rendered directly in-browser.

Node vitality: the net health of a node, balancing capacities against stress, with abstraction providing a fractional boost.

α_i

K − S

Affect: net emotional or institutional tone. Positive = adaptive momentum; negative = stress overwhelms capacity.

Structural mean: average of coherence and abstraction — measures the node's integrative quality.

γ_i

A × C

Interaction product: joint signal from abstraction and coherence. High values indicate a well-organised, conceptually rich node.

Γ_i

A / (C + 0.001)

Abstraction drift ratio: how abstracted the node is relative to its coherence. Values >3 signal drift from functional grounding.

Sisu (resilient activation): non-zero only when both abstraction and stress exceed high thresholds — a signature of antifragile response under extreme pressure.
